One Fast Cat Exercise Wheel: Working Out

*Updated* (with the usual edits and the like)

As reported within an update made to a previous post (here), my One Fast Cat exercise wheel arrived earlier this month, however assembly of it was delayed for a time due to certain technical complexities that cropped up for Morgan during the assembly process.

This is also pretty much what I was doing
after using my exercise wheel this morning as well
After Morgan was able to get other things that needed doing done, including preparing for the annual apartment inspection that took place late last week, and then resting up a bit, on Sunday afternoon he was able to successfully complete the assembly of the exercise wheel.

Once that was finished he brought it back up to our apartment, moved some of the furniture around in order to make room for the wheel and set it up for me so I could thoroughly inspect and check it out.

He tried enticing me to get on it several different times afterwards, using treats and later toys, but the most I was initially willing to do is to put my front paws on it.

The three following days I eventually put all four paws on the wheel and also sat down on it as well, but would not budge further, including because it is rather easy enough to get Morgan to reward me with treats no matter what I do or otherwise not do.

This morning, however, Morgan introduced a new and different toy to try to entice me onto it, which I could not resist and before I knew it I was sauntering and also running on my new exercise wheel. Did this several times for short spurts, taking breaks in between, including quite comfortably laying down on the wheel itself.

After amazing myself with what it was like to saunter and run on the exercise wheel, almost effortlessly, I found myself enjoying it quite a bit. Had even nearly broke out in almost a full gallop at one point, but decided not to overdo it all at once.

Given that Morgan's video camera broke (read: melted down) late last year and has not yet been replaced, what follows is another sampling of other satisfied customers of the exact same product that is posted for your viewing pleasure (via YouTube):

More such videos and the like can be found posted (via One Fast Cat), here.

Suffice it to say that, while keeping in mind about how proper assembly of it is a most essential element of course (more on this later in a future post), both Morgan and myself are extremely satisfied with my One Fast Cat exercise wheel and therefore we highly recommend it to other cats and their human caretakers.

It is most definitely worth the investment made in its acquisition.

By the way, this is the product review I just submitted to One Fast Cat:

Once I had successfully assembled her One Fast Cat exercise wheel on Sunday afternoon (April 26th), my cat Cleopatra (Cleo) was intrigued, but still not quite sure what to do with it, no matter how many treats or different toys were used to entice her. Besides having put two paws on the exercise wheel the day it was assembled and set up, the most she would do afterwards was to sit on it for short periods three days in a row. However knowing not to pressure her about it and to be patient as well as understanding, I was confident that she would eventually take to it, given the time to do so. It also proved to be very important to continue engaging and playing with her without the focus being on the exercise wheel as well.

After being enticed by a different toy yesterday morning (Thursday), Cleo was amazing herself with what it was like to saunter and run, almost effortlessly, on her exercise wheel for the first time and was enjoying herself quite a bit. Taking breaks here and there, she would return to the wheel for yet another jaunt. She had even nearly broke out in almost a full gallop at one point, but decided not to overdo it all at once. There were also times when she was not really focused on the toy any longer either, so I would pull it away and only bring it back when it helped her to refocus.

What was the toy?: Had simply cut a short piece from an overstretched belt cord off an old pair of sweatpants. Like most cats, she took to it rather easily of course, most likely due to the novelty of it. It was either that or, if need be, I was tempted to purchase a laser cat toy.

This morning I awoke just prior to 4:00 AM (ET) and soon after Cleo could be overheard using the exercise wheel on her own, sauntering off and on for brief spurts and taking short breaks in between. This continued for a time after I arose from bed as well. She was no longer as interested in the cord as much, at least not this morning, save for when playing with it independent of the wheel.

Suffice it to say that, while keeping in mind about how careful and proper assembly of it is a most essential element of course, both Cleo and myself are extremely satisfied with the One Fast Cat exercise wheel and therefore we highly recommend it to other cats and their human caretakers.

It is most definitely worth the investment made in its acquisition.

Welcome

Me with my cat scratcher. (circa: December 2014) * Updated * (with the usual edits and the like) Welcome to my blog. My name is Cleopatra, however most humans refer to me as Cleo. I am a cat that is nearly two years old, comfortably residing in the Central Vermont region and serve as the case manager of an older human male who is also my caretaker. His name is Morgan and he will be blogging posts on my behalf. This blog of mine will serve as my cat journal to the world, opining about everyday events as well as life in general from the perspective of a cat and also about living with my human. Before I came to live with Morgan in early December of last year (2014), I was staying at the Central Vermont Humane Society (CVHS) for a while. Prior to his going to CVHS to adopt a new cat, Morgan came across my profile on their Website. He was obviously taken by me and, being likewise, I decided to adopt him. If you live in the area and are interested in adopting a cat, check out t

Birdsbesafe Cat Collar Cover

My human, Morgan, had recently ordered me a Birdsbesafe Fun Stripes cat collar cover and it arrived in the mail yesterday morning   (click onto photo to view enlargement) . Accordingly to Morgan, I appear to be adjusting fine to wearing it and was mostly interested in getting outdoors this morning, particularly after having to stay indoors yesterday due to rain   (click onto photos to view enlargement) .

New Cat Condos Deluxe Cat Tower

As Her Highness Cleopatra ( Cleo ), I am currently perched atop my new nearly six-foot-tall four-tier New Cat Condos deluxe cat tower, which my human ordered for me and was delivered this afternoon. I could not wait to get up onto it, even during its assembly. Once the cat tower was assembled, I went right to the top perch and am very content. Until the new TV mounting stand arrives next week and my human everything set up in order to put the new cat tower alongside the end of the room divider, it is temporarily positioned next to the dining table. My human believes is definitely worth the investment. The existing six-foot-tall five-tier indoor cat tree and two other four-foot-tall two-tier cat towers will, of course, be kept.  More photos, here . View video, here .
